Niykee keeps writing music despite having been part of the current chaos. Her selection was made for the YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. She is a constant magnet for new producers getting started. A lot of beats she receives spark song ideas. Within 5 seconds, I can tell the quality of a song or not. After that, I have an idea for an original song, and start writing the lyrics immediately. When I sit at my front porch, playing guitar, the lyrics just appear and usually are completed in less than thirty minutes. As she continues develop as a lyricist Niykee notes that her pain from the history is an unending source of unimaginable inspiration. She says that even when she is not writing about things that were actually taking place the pain due to her childhood and the loss of her sister makes its way into music. My songs are inspired by my experiences and I can feel the deeper meaning underneath every single thing. This is one of the things that is most important to me.
